I hope you’re having a blast this summer or planning to. If you’re not, or not yet, know that I get you. I mean, with sunny days around, basking outside already makes me feel better simply for existing. But I don’t ignore that summer might bring a little anxiety for some of us—FOMO blooms big this time of year.

I’ve been in this part of the planet for over four years, and I still haven’t gotten the urge to make summer plans. I’m not married to a Finn, if that counts on my side.

On top of not having summer plans (which is honestly good news!), I’ve picked up a freelance gig — a beautiful, heart-filled opportunity I couldn’t say no to. It does mean that summer will be enjoyed in the gaps… and a bit later on.

I’ll also be using this OOO period to do some house cleaning around here. Our platforms need tidying up 👀. I’ve made a bit of a mess testing everything under the sun to figure out what works best. I’ll spare you the boring details (but feel free to ask if you’re curious).

We created a long form with over 40 books that our community recommended! Big shout to Mari & Karina, who helped with the form! Each book title is linked to a Goodreads page, in case you don’t know the book.

You don’t need to vote for all the books, but please vote as much as you can. I encourage you to put yourself out there and facilitate a book meeting! It’s been amazing having different facilitators bringing different points of view. Really!

Our last theme, from International Women’s Day until April, was Living Deliciously, inspired by the book Women Living Deliciously (). You’ve probably heard me mention her before. She’s on the same mission we are: to inspire women to live beautifully and shake off those dusty old patriarchal beliefs that shaped how the world sees us — and how we see ourselves.

At Secret Club, we just want to do what we need, rest whenever we can, and feel joy without guilt... or at least that’s what I’ve been trying to teach my brain — and to print right into the pink heart of our club. 💖

Maybe that’s why I love spring so much — it feels like nature’s soft reminder that joy can always come back. Those things bloom again and again. It’s the season of tiny, joyful rebirths.

And that brings me to another thing that keeps us playful and curious: everyday magic.

The small and sweet that lives in your morning coffee, or the way the sun hits a window just right. You don’t need to believe or explain — only feel.

So this season, I want Secret Club to fully step out of the magical closet and proudly own it: we love magic. ✨

Not in a religious way, and it doesn’t even have to be spiritual — just that casual, everyday magic that makes life softer, sweeter, and more intentional.

LOVE LETTERS MOVE
A heartfelt initiative to spread kindness and love letters during Valentine's month 💌

I had the video above video on my list of ideas for the future and I messaged the community about creating something similar. Everyone got so excited about the idea that we just had to keep it going! We reshaped it, and instead of just writing letters and giving them away, we will encourage people to write the letters.

If you're in our WhatsApp group or follow us on Instagram, you might have seen that we've launched a website and a dedicated profile to document everything properly.

LOVE LETTERS MOVE is our theme for February and a movement to inspire everyone to share love letters! We're making it happen with the amazing support of Café Clé and Hobo Hotel, who are hosting our mailboxes, and Putinki, generously donating all the stationery materials.

If you also want to get involved, just reply to this email and I’ll show you the way. We’re still working on the boxes, stickers, posters, and more exciting stuff!

Can you believe we pulled off 36 official meetups this year? I’m still wrapping my head around that number. So much fun we had! Every gathering was packed with laughter, connection, and the incredible energy of women coming together to inspire and uplift one another. Having you with us in 2024 has been such a gift, and I can’t wait to continue this remarkable journey with you into 2025.

As we say goodbye to 2024, my heart is full of gratitude. This year marked the launch of our Pearl Membership, a huge milestone only possible because of amazing women like you who believe in the power of sisterhood. Together, we’re building something sustainable, transformative, and unstoppable.

Hello Pearls!

It's the Christmas season, and I couldn't be more excited! I feel incredibly energetic as I write this under the warm Brazilian sun. I skipped the gloominess of November to visit my family and friends and see stunning landscapes. As our community grows, I've been finding ways to keep our meetings going, even while I'm away. Watching the Secret Club expand is both a bit daunting and incredibly thrilling! If you’re reading this, your energy is already helping us to keep going!

2024 was our year!

We created the Pearl Membership, held over 25 meetings, created our tote bag, launched our referral program, and were featured three times in the news!

I love what we are doing, and I’m grateful for finding many incredible women who trust our values. We’ll keep fostering joy and friendship among women. It’s our rebellious way to fight loneliness and the patriarchy.

Hi Pearl!

Isn’t it wild how the darkest month of the year is celebrated with fire? November starts with Viaporin Kekri in Suomenlinna—a super exciting festival and the best excuse to visit the island in this weather. Although the wooden goat is no longer burned, the festival is still worth experiencing! It’s full of tradition, meaning, and that connection to the darkness we will face soon.

Even in the heart of Helsinki, nature is always close by. With the surrounding forests and a lifestyle that genuinely respects nature, it’s easier to feel grounded. Dark November days have taught me to appreciate the uniqueness of each season and how to embrace them fully. Viaporin festival helped me to understand and see it beautifully.

So, this month, we’re starting things off with a cozy creative session at the cutest pink Cafe Meringue. Then, we’ll wrap up on a fiery high with a fusion belly dance class! And in between? A super special pasta workshop, a dinner, and our beloved book club.
