When I said “yes, I do” in front of the Population Agency officer in Finland, I immediately felt a different weight on our relationship’s shoulders — it became stronger, more grounded, and powerful, just because we both decided so by saying “yes, I do.”
Yet I have to admit, this relationship has always carried extra baggage, and it couldn’t be any other way.
