Isn’t it wild how the darkest month of the year is celebrated with fire? November starts with Viaporin Kekri in Suomenlinna—a super exciting festival and the best excuse to visit the island in this weather. Although the wooden goat is no longer burned, the festival is still worth experiencing! It’s full of tradition, meaning, and that connection to the darkness we will face soon.

Even in the heart of Helsinki, nature is always close by. With the surrounding forests and a lifestyle that genuinely respects nature, it’s easier to feel grounded. Dark November days have taught me to appreciate the uniqueness of each season and how to embrace them fully. Viaporin festival helped me to understand and see it beautifully.

So, this month, we’re starting things off with a cozy creative session at the cutest pink Cafe Meringue. Then, we’ll wrap up on a fiery high with a fusion belly dance class! And in between? A super special pasta workshop, a dinner, and our beloved book club.
