Anna is a witch — I can smell it!
Her calming presence, the kind you find in people who know what they are doing and simply thrive, is undeniable. Only witches have that. She’s so amazing, I want to be her—or be her friend and get inspired by what she knows, and also do what I’m supposed to do with confidence, knowing that this is enough. The universe doesn’t require anything else—just us, being who we are supposed to be.
Despite learning so much about Finnish herbs, what we took in was her presence.
Our Magical Herbs & DIY Cosmetics was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had with the club—surely it will forever be on my top list. It was super warm inside, but still, I was so happy to gather with the other seven women to learn about herbs and create our lotions, sprays, bath salts, and face masks together.
You know that feeling when you're at a concert of a band you love, and you’re singing along with strangers, and it’s like a special moment? That’s how this felt.
Because Anna is a biologist, she explains technical things about the herbs, but she also weaves in folk wisdom and their magical powers. After learning, we picked herbs based on what energy we wanted to invite in. I used Lady’s Mantle in everything, because I’m manifesting a glow-up this year. 🌟
🍄 If that made your heart flutter, click here to join our Mushroom Foraging Workshop! It’s on September 21st only, but since I’ve got your attention, I thought it’d be a good idea to share the link. If you’re a paid member, ask for the 10% discount promo code in our WhatsApp group chat or by replying to this email.
We’ve decided on all the books we’ll read this year! It was based on our members’ suggestions and votes. It was hard to place each book in a month, but we tried our best to keep sad books out of the winter and to match each story to the season—because reading Little Women during the autumn would certainly be a bliss!
To make it easier to follow, I created a dedicated page for it on our Substack. Whenever you want to check it out, click here. It’s public to all.
I also made our Book Club open to non-members under a small contribution fee. So, if you’re here only occasionally for the book discussions, you’re more than welcome—I love that it feels pointless to even state the reason.
Secret Reading Circle — On Thursday (7), we’ll meet up to continue our discussions about the Women Who Run with the Wolves, and you’re welcome to join at any time — no pressure to catch up! We’ll dive into chapters 6 and 7. Bring your thoughts, your questions, or just your lovely presence — all are welcome.
📍 We’re testing a new place, with delicious food: Tanner, in Kallio.
N.B.: Reading Circle and Book Club are two different things.
